Micil Cocktail Masterclass

Tour Overview

Our cocktail masterclass is a hands-on ninety minutes of pure fun, and a great start to any evening out. You’ll begin by mixing your own complimentary G&T, while hearing a brief history of gin and poitín, how they’re made, and how we do things differently at Micil. You’ll learn about various types of botanicals, and how they influence the flavour of the spirits you drink. You’ll then jump into the really fun part, with an interactive mixology class. We’ll teach you some real-life bartender secrets as you get to plan, create and mix two signature cocktails of your very own, using gin and poitín made right here at Micil Distillery.

All this takes place in Micil’s private visitor centre bar, overlooking our working distillery. It’s a fun, interactive class that includes your three full-size drinks at no extra cost, and is an amazing way to kick-start a night out with friends.

** Please Note: We run the Cocktail Masterclass once every 3 to 4 weeks, usually on a Friday at 6pm. Please see the calendar for current availability. If you have a large group and can’t find a slot, or wish to make this a private experience for your group, please contact us at visit@micil.ie and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Important Information

Max 12 persons per Cocktail Masterclass. If you have a larger group, or would prefer a private class, please contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Micil Distillery is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
It can be a little chilly in the distillery sometimes, so bring a light jacket.
Due to high demand for places, once tours are booked they cannot be refunded, and tour dates cannot be changed.
The minimum age to taste alcohol in Ireland is 18, and proof of age may be requested.
Children over 12 will be admitted to tours, but must be paid for and accompanied by an adult.
Allow yourself about 30 minutes extra free at the end, as tours can sometimes run over slightly.
